Aaron Nola Turns In Gem Tuesday
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola was on his game in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Rays. Nola pitched 7 1/3 innings, allowing a single run on five hits (including a solo home run) and a walk with 12 strikeouts. The 30-year-old has had very polarizing starts this season aggregating to an 8-5 record with a 4.30 ERA and 9.08 K/9 rate in 18 starts. His last start of the first half should come at the Marlins, where he will look to build on this start.
