Aaron Nola Tosses Seven Strong Innings Monday, Earns Win
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola earned his 11th win of the season in Monday's 10-4 game against the Giants. Nola pitched seven innings, allowing two runs on seven hits (including two solo home runs) and a walk with five strikeouts. The 30-year-old is now 11-8 with a 4.49 ERA and 9.26 K/9 rate. Like a lot of starters this season, Nola has been inconsistent, particularly in the second half. He will look to turn in a second consecutive good start in his next matchup against the Angels.
