Aaron Nola Takes The Loss On Sunday
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola took the loss on Sunday, allowing four runs on six hits while striking out four and walking one across seven innings in a 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Colorado Rockies. Nola settled in after that but then served up a solo home run to Brenton Doyle and an RBI single to Kris Bryant in the bottom of the fifth inning. He received zero run support from his offense and took the loss, falling to 3-3 on the year. Nola will take his 4.53 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 43:12 K/BB ratio across 55 2/3 innings (nine starts) into his next turn against the Cubs at home.
