Aaron Nola Stymies Reds In Victory
7 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies got back to .500 on the season Tuesday with a victory over the Cincinnati Reds. The club rode the right arm of ace Aaron Nola, who enjoyed his best start of the season. The 24-year-old went eight innings, allowing just one run on three hits while walking three and striking out six. The ballgame remained close for most of the night until a late grand slam blew the doors open. Nola’s outing resulted in his first victory, while his ERA now moves to 1.96 on the year. Nola's next start is tentatively scheduled for Monday night against the Tampa Bay Rays.
