Aaron Nola Strikes Out 10 In No-Decision
7 years agoSeeking to bounce back after a disappointing loss, the Philadelphia Phillies got a major performance from their ace. Aaron Nola went 6 2/3 innings on Saturday afternoon against the Toronto Blue Jays, allowing just one run on one hit and three walks. He also struck out 10 Blue Jays, rewarding the Citizens Bank Park crowd a performance worthy of a victory, as he flirted with a no-hitter. Unfortunately for Nola, his performance wasn’t enough for a victory, as his offense only provided him with one run while he was in the game. In the eighth, however, the club managed to retain their one-run lead, finishing it off for a victory.
