Aaron Nola Records 16th Victory Of Season
6 years agoOnce again facing lowly opposition, Philadelphia Phillies starter Aaron Nola recorded his first win in three starts by defeating the New York Mets Friday night at Citi Field. The 25-year-old went seven innings, allowing just three runs on three hits while striking out eight. While it was a better performance than his last time out when he lost to the Chicago Cubs, his three runs allowed are unlike the form which he's developed over the last month. Regardless, the Phillies will take it as they remain in the hunt for the NL East division title, still within striking distance of the Atlanta Braves.
