Aaron Nola Looks Strong Against Milwaukee
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starter Aaron Nola allowed only one run across six strong innings against the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday. This start lowered Nola's ERA back under 3.00 to a tidy 2.89, and he also struck out 10. Nola has looked everything like the Cy Young vote-getter that he was in 2018 and 2020 this season, and fantasy managers should expect his continued success. When looking at the larger picture, Nola's next strikeout will be No. 50 on the season and should take place in his eighth start of the year. Extrapolate that across a full 32 starts, and Nola should once again have at least 200 strikeouts on the season. With his next two starts scheduled to be on the road against Atlanta and Toronto, fantasy managers should continue to remain confident in Nola and still treat him as a set-and-forget starter in all leagues.
