Aaron Nola Looking To Get Back On Track Thursday
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies pitcher Aaron Nola will look to get back on the right track Thursday night when he takes the ball against the Washington Nationals. It's been tough sledding for the veteran right-hander of late as Nola has yielded five earned runs in back-to-back starts while he's allowed an average of 3.8 runs per game over his last five. The recent tough stretch has seen Nola's ERA rise to 4.58 and he owns an elevated 1.63 HR/9 but Nola's underlying numbers are solid. He also sports a 3.82 SIERA and a 19.3% K-BB% across 23 starts. The good news is he is pitching where he's been at his best tonight as Nola owns a 3.75 ERA at home versus a 5.15 mark on the road in 2023 while he sports a 3.23 career ERA at Citizens Bank Park versus a 4.18 mark on the road.
