Aaron Nola's Home Run Woes Continue In Loss
6 years agoWhile Philadelphia Phillies ace Aaron Nola continues to be one of the leading candidates to win the NL Cy Young Award this season, he, alongside the rest of his teammates, is slumping this month. The 25-year-old, seeking to avoid a three-game sweep to the Washington Nationals, lasted just five innings, surrendering four runs on six hits and a walk. One alarming trend for Nola this month has become home runs allowed, as he gave up two more on Wednesday, now having given up seven in three September starts. That's as much as he'd allowed through the first five months of the season.
