Aaron Nola Goes Five Innings In No-Decision
7 years agoMaking his second start of the season, Philadelphia Phillies ace Aaron Nola took the mound at a wet Citi Field against the New York Mets on Wednesday afternoon. The 24-year-old went just five innings, surrendering just four hits and two runs, the first coming in the opening frame off a home run. His control was an issue, as he walked four, but he also struck out four. In all, Nola tossed 87 pitches, leaving the score tied at two. The Phillies bullpen immediately surrendered two additional runs, as the score wound up 4-2 to the Mets.
