Aaron Judge Undergoes Cortisone Shot, Still Far From Returning
6 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge (wrist) is still a long way from making it back to the lineup. Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman said that the slugger received a cortisone shot on Wednesday, but also made a grim statement in regards to Judge's outlook: "I doubt he hits the ground running." Originally, the team believed Judge would miss about three weeks, but it's become evident that that timeline will be stretched out longer. Judge has yet to swing a bat during his recovery. The Yankees have sorely missed his power, as have Judge's fantasy owners. Outfielders Brett Gardner, Aaron Hicks, and Neil Walker will continue to get more work in Judge's stead.
