Aaron Judge Resting Wednesday
3 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Los Angeles Angels. While thankfully it's just a rest day, according to manager Aaron Boone, this development is disappointing since Judge won't face off with Shohei Ohtani on Wednesday. Appearing in the first 75 of 79 games on the season, Judge has so far proven to be durable. The 2017 American League Rookie of the Year has 18 homers, 42 RBI and 44 runs, to go with a .285/.382/.522 line on the 2021 campaign. Clint Frazier will bat eighth and man right field in Judge's absence. Frazier has some power appeal, but he's hitting just .186/.313/.317 on the year, has minimal upside lower in the lineup and is facing one of the nastier pitchers in the game in Ohtani.
