Aaron Judge Leaves After Hit-By-Pitch
5 months agoNew York Yankees superstar outfielder Aaron Judge (hand) was removed from Tuesday's contest against the visiting division-rival Baltimore Orioles after being hit in the left hand by a pitch in the third inning. Trent Grisham replaced Judge in center field. Before leaving early, Judge singled and scored a run to boost his season average to .302 and his OPS to 1.115. The 32-year-old former MVP and Rookie of the Year will surely undergo tests on his hand to make sure he's not dealing with any broken bones. In the meantime, fantasy managers will be holding their breathe, as the right-handed slugger entered Tuesday's action leading the league in doubles (22), home runs (26), RBI (64), walks (57), slugging percentage (.686), OPS (1.110), OPS + (210) and total bases (181). Judge didn't appear to be in a ton of pain, so hopefully his removal was merely precautionary. Stay tuned for an update on his injury. UPDATE: Judge will undergo imaging at New York-Presbyterian hospital on Tuesday night and is expected to be seen by Yankees head team physician Dr. Christopher Ahmad.
