Aaron Judge Could Be Extended This Offseason
3 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge has one year left on his current contract. However, it seems unlikely that the Yankees would allow him to reach the open market after the 2022 season. He is a prime candidate to receive a contract extension this offseason. The 29-year-old has played the entirety of his six-year MLB career with the Bronx Bombers. In an interview after the team's loss to the Boston Red Sox in the AL Wild Card game, he stated, "I want to be a Yankee for life, I want to wear these pinstripes the rest of my career...but you never know what the future holds for you." Judge tallied 39 home runs and 98 RBI this year while notching a career-best .287 batting average. It's hard to imagine the Yankees not locking him up for the long term, so expect to see some developments soon.
