Aaron Jones Tallies 45 Yards Before Early Exit In Week 9
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (ankle) took nine carries for 25 yards and added 20 yards on two receptions during the team's 15-9 loss to the Detroit Lions. The 27-year-old did not return to the game after suffering what was reported to be an ankle injury. After leaving the locker room, he ran back to the sideline, but the coaching staff never allowed him to return to the field. The severity of the injury is currently unknown, but it is disappointing for Jones, who had strung together a couple of solid fantasy performances and was projected as a top-tier option this week. He never really got anything going in this game, much like the rest of the Green Bay offense, but he was well on his way to a 15-plus touch performance. Monitor injury reports for Jones this week, but he will be considered an RB2 if he can suit up against Dallas.
