Aaron Jones Set Up To Be Lead Back
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones has the potential to have a big week against the New England Patriots in Week 9. Jones became the starting running back in Week 6 and saw a majority of the snaps and touches for the first time last week against the Los Angeles Rams when he had 12 carries for 86 yards and a touchdown. With running back Ty Montgomery no longer on the team his usage should continue to grow. It was only a matter of time before Jones overtook Jamaal Williams as the lead running back in Green Bay. Jones is a far more dynamic runner and is able to add a different dimension to Green Bay’s offense. Jones is a quick back who has a knack for breaking some long runs. He can be viewed as a highly volatile RB2 for Week 9.
