Aaron Hicks The Front-Runner To Be Leadoff Hitter
6 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks is the front-runner to be the team's leadoff hitter this year, according to manager Aaron Boone. The Yanks will also flirt with Aaron Judge in the top spot against lefties, but Boone said that scenario is less likely. Hicks is a bit of an injury concern, but leading off for one of the best offenses in baseball will make him very attractive in fantasy. The 29-year-old hit .248/.366/.467 with 27 home runs, 79 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 137 games for the Bombers. He'd be a solid third or fourth outfielder and would also provide plenty of runs. If he's hitting leadoff, it means veteran Brett Gardner would hit at the bottom of the order.
