Aaron Hicks Supplies Offense Wednesday
4 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks went 0-for-2 with a sacrifice fly in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Rays. Hicks supplied the only run of the night for the Yankee offense- and it was all they needed with Gerrit Cole on the mound- when he lofted an 0-2 pitch into center field for a sacrifice fly to score Aaron Judge. The veteran outfielder is hitting over .300 in May with four RBI- and has definitely taken steps forward at the plate after his rough start. He also returned to the lineup quickly after missing a game due to a shin bruise, which is good news for his ability to manage the issue moving forward.
