6 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a right flexor strain, the team announced on Sunday. Hicks left in the eighth inning of the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Red Sox. He had an MRI today and it clearly showed enough damage that the Yankees are putting him on the shelf. While there is no timetable set for his absence, Brett Gardner will man center field on Sunday and Mike Tauchman will start in left. Along with Cameron Maybin, expect these three to form the last two parts of the Yankees outfield with Aaron Judge. Both Gardner and Tauchman present modest upside in Hicks' absence, but neither will likely win you a matchup.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
