Aaron Hicks Leaves Game Early
6 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks (hamstring) left the game early on Monday with a tight left hamstring. Hicks was hitless in two plate appearances before leaving the game. He also fouled a ball off his ankle on Saturday night and sat out on Sunday. Hicks is beat up as the season winds to a close, so although this injury might not be that serious, expect the Yankees to rest their starting outfielder to close out the final week of the regular season. Hicks has been very good when on the field this year, hitting .247/.368/.465 with 26 home runs, 89 runs scored, 76 RBI and 11 stolen bases. Expect Brett Gardner to see more action to close out the regular season.
