Aaron Hicks Injured In Game 1
6 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks (hamstring) left the game early on Friday in Game 1 of the American League Division Series against the Red Sox with right hamstring tightness. The Yankees continue to evaluate him. Hicks dealt with hamstring issues to close out the regular season, so this could be an aggravation of that, which could keep him out for the rest of this series and the ALCS if they Yankees advance. Hicks had a hit and a walk in two plate appearances before leaving the game. If his injury is serious enough, expect Brett Gardner to take Hicks' starting spot in the outfield moving forward. It'd be a blow to New York's offense in the series against Boston.
