Aaron Hicks Drives In Three Runs As Yankees Pummel Red Sox
6 years agoThe New York Yankees delayed the Boston Red Sox's divisional celebration at least for one more night as they pummeled their eternal rivals 10-1 on Wednesday in the Bronx. One of the star performers at the plate was outfielder Aaron Hicks, who recorded two hits and drove in three runs in the winning effort. The performance was a much-needed one for Hicks, who has struggled at the plate for over a month. In his last 30 games, the 28-year-old was hitting just .196 with four home runs and 15 RBI. With Brett Gardner now relegated to the bench, Hicks will need to keep up the pace to continue his role as starting center fielder.
