Aaron Civale Likely To Start Saturday After Friday Postponement
Aaron Civale had his Friday start against the New York Yankees postponed due to inclement weather. The Guardians and Yankees will now play a doubleheader in Cleveland on Saturday. Cleveland has yet to officially announce their pitching plans for Saturday, but expect that Civale will start one of the two games. Civale has struggled through an up-and-down season and will not be a recommended fantasy option in a tough matchup against the Yankees offense.

Aaron Civale To Start Rehab Assignment On Thursday
Aaron Civale (hamstring) threw live batting practice last Saturday and will start his minor-league rehab assignment on Thursday with Triple-A Nashville, according to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. Civale made only one start for the Brewers before straining his left hamstring and landing on the 15-day injured list. The 29-year-old had a setback with his injured hamstring in early April, which is why he still hasn't returned to Milwaukee's starting rotation. Because of his long layoff, he's most likely going to need at least several rehab starts in the minors before the Brew Crew feels comfortable activating him from the IL. But barring a setback, he could be back in the big leagues by mid- May. In his first start of the year on March 30 against the New York Yankees, Civale gave up five earned runs on four hits (three homers) while walking one and striking out two in only three innings for a loss.

Aaron Civale Suffers Setback
Aaron Civale (hamstring) has reportedly suffered a setback in his recovery process. The right-hander is currently working his way back from a strained hamstring. He resumed throwing recently, but now it's unclear if the team will shut him down for a bit. The team hasn't given much information on the setback, so more information should be known in a few days. The absence of Civale likely means Quinn Priester will probably stick in the starting rotation a little longer.

Aaron Civale To Throw Off A Mound On Saturday
Aaron Civale (hamstring), who was placed on the 15-day injured list on Monday with left-hamstring cramping, threw on Tuesday and is scheduled to throw bullpen sessions on Saturday, April 5, and Tuesday, April 8. Civale left his start on Sunday early against the New York Yankees after three innings, and an MRI exam confirmed a mild strain. The 29-year-old isn't dealing with a serious injury at all, but he'll still likely be required to make at least one minor-league rehab start before potentially returning to Milwaukee's starting rotation before the end of April. Civale doesn't move the needle all that much in fantasy due to a below-average strikeout rate, although he did look better with the Brewers at the end of last year and could be useful as back-end rotation depth in deeper fantasy formats.

Aaron Civale Plays Catch On Tuesday
Aaron Civale (hamstring) was able to play catch on Tuesday after his MRI exam revealed only a mild strain of his hamstring. While nothing is set in stone just yet, this news means that Civale should have a chance to return from the IL when he's eligible on Tuesday, April 15. If at all possible, the Brewers would love to have him back in their injury-depleted starting rotation, too. Civale made it only three innings in his first start of 2025 in the Bronx against the New York Yankees on March 30, allowing five earned runs on four hits (three homers allowed) while walking one and striking out two. If the 29-year-old hurler continues to improve quickly, he could even forego a minor-league rehab assignment. Injury aside, Civale has limited fantasy upside due to lack of strikeout stuff.
