Aaron Civale Has Ligament Sprain In Wrist
2 years agoCleveland Guardians starting pitcher Aaron Civale (wrist) has been diagnosed with a ligament sprain and inflammation in his right wrist. Civale left his start against the Chicago White Sox last Wednesday after just one inning and was put on the IL shortly after with the injury. The good news is that Civale is expected to resume throwing this week and should be back sometime in August, presumably after a short rehab stint. Fantasy managers probably aren't going to want to add him anyway, though, as he owns a dismal 2-5 record, 6.28 ERA, and 1.45 WHIP to go along with 51 strikeouts over 53 innings pitched.
