Aaron Civale Exits Monday’s Start Early
3 years agoCleveland Indians pitcher Aaron Civale exited Monday's start against the Cubs early with an apparent finger injury. Trainers came out to examine his middle finger and, after further evaluation, he was removed from the game in the bottom of the fifth inning. He allowed three hits and two walks while striking out five across four 2/3 scoreless innings before exiting. The severity of his finger issue is unclear at this time and Civale is considered day-to-day. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation as the Indians should provide an update after the game. Civale has been excellent this season, owning a (10-2) record along with a 3.32 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and a 76:23 K: BB across 97 2/3 innings. Stay tuned.
