Aaron Boone Likely To Remain Yankees Manager
3 years agoThe New York Yankees have yet to make a decision on manager Aaron Boone for next year. His managerial contract terminated at the end of the 2021 season and there have been rumors that the San Diego Padres could be interested in Boone if the Yankees don't retain him. However, on Tuesday, ESPN's Buster Olney reported that the Yankees are likely to bring back Boone as their manager. According to Olney, Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner doesn't blame Boone for the team's lack of success recently. He instead attributes it to underachieving players. The Yankees' front office has a lot of decisions to make this offseason. Anthony Rizzo is a free agent and Aaron Judge could be in line for a contract extension as he's set for free agency after the 2022 season.
