Aaron Ashby Placed On 15-Day Injured List
2 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers have placed left-hander Aaron Ashby (shoulder) on the 15-day IL after a left shoulder injury in Spring Training. The hope is that he returns by mid-May. Ashby had a mixed season in 2022, pitching to a 4.44 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and 2-10 record, but posted a 26.5% strikeout rate over 27 games. The 24-year-old has plenty of talent, exhibited by his career 3.95 FIP and 27.1% strikeout rate across 139 innings, but the Brewers have a solid rotation heading into 2023. Ashby will need someone to falter or land on the IL if he wants a spot as a starter once he returns. He's worth a stash in dynasty formats, but fantasy managers can drop him without much concern in redraft leagues.
