Aaron Altherr Drives In Two In Loss
7 years agoDespite a loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night, Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Aaron Altherr had a productive evening. With Odubel Herrera and Nick Williams both getting the night off, Altherr started in the outfield alongside Rhys Hoskins and Scott Kingery. With his club trailing by two runs in the third, Altherr ripped a double to deep right center, driving in a pair to equalize the score. An ensuing sacrifice fly would put the Phillies ahead, but the pitching couldn’t hold the lead, as the home team fell, 8-4. While it was his only hit of the night, Altherr’s RBI double raised his season total to 12.
