A.J. Puk Records His Fourth Save Saturday
2 years agoMiami Marlins left-hander A.J. Puk delivered his fourth save of the season when his team defeated the Cleveland Guardians in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader. He went one inning, striking out and walking one without allowing a hit or a run to secure the 3-2 victory. Puk is the only Marlin with multiple saves, and each of his last three appearances has been in a save situation. The 27-year-old is running a 1.00 ERA and 0.89 WHIP with nine punchouts and two walks across nine innings. Before the season, it wasn't clear who would be the closer in Miami, but it's safe to say that Puk has secured that role for himself.
