A.J. Minter Records His Eighth Save On Wednesday
1 year agoAtlanta Braves left-hander A.J. Minter registered his eighth save of the season after closing out Wednesday's 7-5 win over the New York Mets. He went one inning, allowing no baserunners while striking out one. Minter is now sporting a 6.04 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 30.4% strikeout rate with a pair of holds over 28.1 innings. The 29-year-old began the year as the closer, but after Raisel Iglesias returned from the injured list, he moved to a set-up role. Despite his numbers, fantasy managers should expect Minter to back up Iglesias for save opportunities while picking up a fair share of holds.
