A.J. Minter Pitching Well In June
5 years agoAtlanta Braves reliever A.J. Minter is starting to rediscover his form after a dismal start to the season. Since returning from Triple-A Gwinnett on June 11, Minter has allowed only one run over five appearances while opponents have batted .077 against him. His 4/4 K/BB rate over that span suggests that there are still some deficiencies to iron out, but with Luke Jackson leading the majors with six blown saves, it does not seem unreasonable to expect Minter to get some save opportunities going forward. He is someone to keep on the watch list as he was 15-for-17 in save opportunities for the Braves last season.
