A.J. Minter Closes Out Monday's Game
2 years agoAtlanta Braves left-hander A.J. Minter earned his sixth save of the season Monday, closing out the 9-8 victory in Game 1 of the doubleheader. He pitched one inning, allowing one run (a solo shot) and also struck out a batter. Despite his six saves, Minter has had a miserable campaign thus far, posting an 8.56 ERA with a 1.39 WHIP, 27.6% strikeout rate, and a pair of blown saves. With Raisel Iglesias (shoulder) set to join the Braves bullpen this week, the 29-year-old will be replaced as the closer anyways, so fantasy managers can let him go in most formats.
