A.J. Green To Have Season-Ending Surgery
6 years agoCincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green (toe) is expected to have season-ending surgery on torn ligaments in his toe that will sideline him for three to four months, according to a source. The good news is that he is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for organized team activities in 2019. This doesn't come as a surprise after Green was carted off in Week 13 in his first game back since Week 8. The 30-year-old had 46 catches on 77 targets for 694 yards and six touchdowns this year. He'll be 31 next summer and will be more of a WR2 coming off this injury next season. Tyler Boyd, John Ross and Cody Core will be relied on more the rest of the way with Green out. Boyd is the most attractive WR3 with Jeff Driskel under center for the last four games.
