A.J. Brown Quiet During Week 5 Victory
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown caught three of his seven targets, gaining 32 yards, during the team's 20-17 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. The three receptions were a season-low for the 25-year-old, as he drew top coverage away from teammate DeVonta Smith, who caught 10 of his 11 targets. The matchup was not great on paper heading into Sunday, but it is safe to say Brown disappointed his fantasy managers. Obviously, there is no need to panic about the fourth-year receiver's performance. Opposing defenses will do all they can to scheme Brown out of the game, and that plan worked this week for Arizona. With that said, next week's home matchup against the red-hot Dallas defense will not be any easier. Brown should still be considered a fringe WR1 for that matchup in Week 6.
