1 year agoA.J. Allmendinger slumped while on the bubble for the NASCAR playoffs. Afterwards, he did not fare much better. Consecutive 30th-place results at Kansas and Bristol for the Kaulig Racing driver highlight a run where Allmendinger finished 13th or worse in nine of his previous 11 races. The No, 16 Chevy qualified sixth on Saturday at Texas which surprised a few people. Allmendinger did finish seventh after qualifying last tenth on the track. Keep in mind, that was the All-Star race, however. The question mark is how he fares later in runs with the Fall heat expected. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
