1 year agoFresh off a win at the Charlotte Roval, A.J. Allmendinger will start P22 at the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Because last weekend's race was at a road course, a style of track Allmendinger typically performs well at, his 28.25% ownership on DraftKings was not surprising. This weekend, however, I expect his ownership to be substantially lower, yet I feel he may be just as strong as play. While I do not feel as if he will win Sunday's race, the data shows that he performs quite well at Las Vegas. Not only does he have an Xfinity win at this track (March 2021), but since 2020, he has averaged 39.4 DraftKings points in his starts at the "Diamond in the Desert." At a salary of just $6,700, with place differential upside, at a venue he has produced at in the past, the No. 16 looks like one of the better value plays in DFS this weekend.--Adam Erhardt - RotoBaller
