49ers Release Kyle Juszczyk
25 seconds agoThe San Francisco 49ers released nine-time Pro Bowl fullback Kyle Juszczyk on Monday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. While Juszczyk isn't at all fantasy relevant and will turn 34 years of age in April, he wants to continue playing and could draw plenty of interest as a blocker out of the backfield. He was a former fourth-round pick (130th overall) by the Baltimore Ravens in 2013 out of Harvard and has been a Pro Bowler in each of the last nine seasons (eight with the 49ers). Juszczyk had 19 receptions on 31 targets for 200 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games (15 starts) for San Fran last year, adding only five rushing attempts for 26 yards and another score. He has never had more than 41 receptions or 324 yards in a single season in his 12 years in the NFL and has been used even less as a ball-carrier out of the backfield. The 49ers will save $2.9 million on the 2025 salary cap with a $3.57 million dead-money hit.
