49ers Re-Sign Briean Boddy-Calhoun, Daniel Helm
4 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers re-signed cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun and tight end Daniel Helm to undisclosed one-year deals. Boddy-Calhoun appeared in just one game for the 49ers last year, playing a total of 16 snaps -- eight on the punt-coverage team and eight on the punt-return unit -- in the Week 14 game against Washington. He has played in 47 games (22 starts) and has 141 tackles, 19 passes defensed, three interceptions (one touchdown), three sacks and two forced fumbles in his five NFL seasons. Helm was active in five games in 2020 and has also played special teams for the team. The 25-year-old originally entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie in 2019 when he signed with the Los Angeles Chargers.
