7 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers consider running back Jerick McKinnon a three-down back. "We think he's a great third-down back. We also think he's good on first and second down, too," head coach Kyle Shanahan said. San Fran signed McKinnon to be their main workhorse in 2018, although Matt Breida should spell him here and there. Still, with the possibility of playing all three downs often in an offense on the rise with a strong young quarterback in Jimmy Garoppolo, McKinnon has RB1 upside in all formats heading into 2018 drafts.
