14 Teams Interested In J.T. Realmuto
6 years agoNo fewer than 14 teams are interested in trading for Miami Marlins catcher J.T. Realmuto this winter. The Marlins wouldn't mind holding onto him since he'd help their young pitching staff, it's still likely that Realmuto gets traded. The Nationals are the only team in the National League East that aren't in on him. The Marlins are seeking shortstop Amed Rosario or either outfielders Michael Conforto or Brandon Nimmo from the Mets, although the Mets want to keep Rosario. The Dodgers match up well since they have outfielders (and left-handed ones) that the Marlins covet, although they don't want to move Cody Bellinger. The activity surrounding Realmuto will really pick up during next week's winter meetings. He has become the best hitting catcher in the big leagues and should be the first backstop drafted in 2019.
