The Pittsburgh Steelers have always been a consistent NFL franchise. The Steelers have never had a losing record since hiring Mike Tomlin in 2007.
Pittsburgh had a 9-8 record last year in their first season without Ben Roethlisberger since 2004. Unfortunately, the Steelers lost six of the first eight games. During that span, superstar pass rusher T.J. Watt only played in one contest.
However, Pittsburgh won four straight games to end the regular season. Unfortunately, they just came up short of making the playoffs. Will the team return to the playoffs this year? Let’s look at the Steelers’ 2023 season and the fantasy outlook.

Who Do The Pittsburgh Steelers Face At Home In 2023?
The Steelers have nine home games this season, including three against their divisional rivals. They face the Cleveland at home in Week 2, the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5, and the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16.
Pittsburgh’s last home game of the year is the Week 16 matchup against Cincinnati. However, Najee Harris is already looking forward to that matchup. Last year the star running back had three total touchdowns in the two games against the divisional rivals.
Meanwhile, the Steelers will start the 2023 season at home in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers. Last year the 49ers had one of the top defenses in the NFL, holding their opponents to only 16.3 points per game, the fewest in the league. Therefore, fantasy players should temper their Week 1 expectations for the Pittsburgh offense.
Who Do The Pittsburgh Steelers Face On The Road In 2023?
After starting the 2023 season with back-to-back home games against the 49ers and Browns, the Steelers will be on the road for three of their next four matchups. However, all three matchups could be against bottom 10 defenses. Pittsburgh faces the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 3, the Houston Texans in Week 4, and the Los Angeles Rams in Week 7.
Meanwhile, fantasy players are excited to see how George Pickens plays in his second year in the NFL. One of his best performances last season came in Week 16 against the Raiders. The young receiver had five receptions for 57 receiving yards and the game-winning touchdown in the 13-10 victory.
The Steelers’ first road game this year is in Las Vegas. Will the Raiders get their revenge for last season, or will Pickens have his way with the team’s secondary?
