ANALYSIS: Phillip Dorsett has been targeted plenty over the first two weeks, and considering how great Andrew Luck's start to the season has been, those targets mean a whole lot. In 11 games last year, he averaged just 3.6 targets, 1.6 receptions and 20.5 yards with a lone touchdown. This season, Dorsett got off to a hot start against the Lions, with four catches on six targets for 94 yards. Last week against a stronger Broncos defense, however, he had a bit of a let-down with 30 yards on a single catch. He still received five targets, but was evidently hampered by Denver's skilled secondary.
Last year, the Colts had Coby Fleener and Andre Johnson, who combined for 161 targets, 95 receptions, 994 yards and seven touchdowns. Additionally, 326 pass attempts were made by someone other than Luck. With Luck back at the wheel and the duo of Fleener and Johnson gone -- plus Donte Moncrief expected to miss at least a month with a shoulder injury -- Dorsett is set to continue racking up good looks.
