Manning was indestructible during his first three seasons in Denver, but is Father Time finally starting to catch up with him? Manning isn't putting up abysmal numbers, but he isn't putting up the sort of numbers that justify drafting him so high.
Though he's off to a slower start than expected, he's in for a juicy matchup against the Oakland Raiders this week. The Raiders are 31st in pass defense, just behind the New York Giants for last place in the league. Manning also has a history of destroying the Raiders when playing in Oakland. Over the last three seasons, Manning has thrown for 916 yards and 10 touchdowns when he's played the Raiders on the road.
Oakland's secondary is one of the worst in football, and it's obvious just by looking at the numbers. The Broncos haven't looked like the team we're used to seeing over the last few years, but they are still 4-0, and Manning is still at the helm. I look for him to have a big day against a Raiders' squad that is struggling with injuries on the defensive side of the ball.
