ANALYSIS: I will never grow tired of watching Patty Mills plays basketball, and I only hope he keeps doing it for five or ten more years, as stupid as that sounds and would be. Mills, although it seems he's been around for 25 years, is only 32 years old and an 11-year pro hooping for the 12th season in the NBA. Yet he hasn't lost a step.
Coming off the bench all of his career, Mills is an NBA champ, is playing 25+ MPG this season, and I don't even know how he is not mentioned more often in the 6MOY conversation for the 2021 award. Seriously. Mills is playing to an average line of 13-2-3 on the season, besting his career average in almost all categories and shooting better than ever with splits of 46/40/93 so far and a TS% of 61+ percent.
Going back to Jan. 22 and from that game against Dallas on, Mills has played seven matches. The average line in that two-week span reads precisely 13-2-2-1, but he's scored 13+ points in three of those six games while hitting at least a triple in all but one game, and scoring 2+ 3PM in four of the six. There aren't many second-unit players averaging such a line while still available in more than two of each three Yahoo leagues, so you should already be taking advantage of it.
