ANALYSIS: While Patty Mills keep putting up good numbers and playing as an above-average fantasy player more often than not, he's still flying under the radar of most fantasy GMs and available in more than 9 of each 10 Yahoo leagues... Some things one will never understand.
Mills is San Antonio's premier backup-point and is playing 23.6 MPG, having topped at 29 a few days ago when he was 22 seconds short of reaching 30 minutes on the day. Made sense, considering he had his best game of the season to the tune of 21 pops (including 5 treys), a rebound, and 3 dimes with just 1 turnover. Mills' shooting is sublime so far this year with 57/58/100 splits on 8.3 FGA, 4.8 3PA, and 1.8 FTA per game.
Derrick White is coming back to the squad after being out injured, but Mills is a grizzled veteran with a very solidified role in the Spurs rotation and will most probably keep getting touches nightly. In this day and age, up to 97 NBA players are attempting 4.8+ treys a day. Of those, though, only three are hitting them at a higher clip than Mills, and only Kevin Durant and Alec Burks are doing so while posting up higher rebounds/assists numbers than Mills on the season.
