Bulls forward Patrick Williams is a worthy consideration as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 2 of the NBA season.

ANALYSIS: The fourth pick in this year's NBA Draft, Chicago Bulls small forward Patrick Williams was a bit of a mystery after coming off the bench for Florida State during his lone season in college, where he averaged 9.2 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.
Well, he's definitely not coming off the bench in Chicago, as the Bulls have already inserted Williams into the starting five. He's averaged 27.5 minutes per contest, with averages of 12.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 0.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game.
Williams' lack of rebounding isn't something you love to see from a forward, but if you need a cheap source of points who can also help you out with his defensive stats, Williams is an intriguing option. He's shooting the ball pretty well so far. He's getting to the free-throw line and converting when he's there. With all of those things working in his favor, we can forgive the rebounding woes, right?
The other good thing with Williams is that he's a rookie, so we can kind of assume that he'll get better as he gets more familiar with the NBA and with the Bulls system. It also doesn't hurt that the Bulls have a new system with head coach Billy Donovan, so there's no worries about Donovan leaning on his old favorites should Williams have any early struggles.
