BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 17% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Before we get this thing started let me warn you about Otto Porter Jr.'s health and the potential of him missing games or being limited at least for the next few days. Just check an eye on his status as he got banged up on Friday's game and had to leave the court (quad contusion) although he made it back from the locker room later in the same game. Other than that, consider very seriously making a run at Otto's talents.
Porter Jr., one of the Warriors' offseason acquisitions this past summer, is getting better on a game-by-game basis for GSW. He's coming off the pine every day, obviously, but he's doing what he was expected and acquired for with gusto. Porter has appeared in 12 games to date, is playing a low 17 MPG, but he's doing wonders as a spot-up three-point shooter hitting 1.5+ treys a day while keeping up good shooting percentages, barely turning the ball over, and logging rather good rebound/steal/block marks through the first three weeks of the season.
Otto is one of only six players scoring 1.5+ treys per game on fewer than 18 MPG. He's got the highest three-point percentage (45.9%) among those in that group. League-wide, among players with at least 3.0 3PA per game, Porter's 45.9 is part of a select group of players above 45% shooting from beyond the three-point line comprised of just 15 guys--yes, the likes of Brandon Ingram, Seth Curry, Carmelo Anthony, and Karl-Anthony Towns among them. Considering his full average line, Otto's been fantastic for a man with his role, too: he's one of just seven players putting up 1.5+ 3PM, 4+ RPG, 1+ SPG, and turning the ball over less than one time per game; and one of just two along with Nico Batum doing so while keeping up 50/45/40 splits (Porter Jr. is hitting 83.3% of his freebies, but I didn't want to have him isolated for comparison's sake).
