Pacers forward Oshae Brissett is a worthy consideration as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 20 of the NBA season.

ANALYSIS: What a gem did the Pacers found in Oshae Brissett, man. Not surprising, though, considering he's a former Raptor and Toronto development-program alum, and you know how the Raps system pumps out talent on a yearly basis. Brissett's short 2021 NBA run started just this past month of April, and in fact, it wasn't until Apr. 19 that he logged more than 10 minutes in a single game when he started against San Antonio that day. And he hasn't looked back ever since.
It's been 10 games since that one against the Spurs and Brissett has started all of them. He's playing 32+ MPG and those are a little lower in May only because of Domantas Sabonis' healthy comeback of late. Prior to the last three outings, he's played through Thursday, Brissett had averaged a ridiculous 38 MPG in six games from Apr. 21 to May 1. Talk about a team confident in a young man. And the truth is that Indy had every single reason to believe in Brissett.
Brissett hit the floor running and dropped 13 points in his first start. He's keeping up a 13.6 PPG average in his 10 starts, has scored at least one triple (2.1 3PG) in all games except his last one, and he's doing it on the boards, steals, and blocks cats on top of that. The full line reads 13-8-1-1-1, which is definitely no joke. The points and the rebounds are good (the latter cat will suffer with Sabonis around ROS, though), but the upside on the steals category is where you might find the extra juice you need. Low free-throw attempts, but high percentages at it.
