Orelvis Martinez is a fantasy baseball waiver wire stash for Week 8 (2024). Target Orelvis Martinez as a top prospect free-agent add for fantasy baseball.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 17% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: It's only a matter of time until the Toronto Blue Jays call up infielder Orelvis Martinez. The Blue Jays are averaging just 3.7 runs per game in 2024 (seventh-fewest in the majors), and Martinez's arrival could give the team a spark on offense. The 22-year-old is currently hitting .277 at the plate with 10 home runs, 30 RBI, and eight doubles across 35 Triple-A games to start the season.
Double-digit jacks for Orelvis Martinez!

Martinez has been on another level in the minors this year, which included an unreal stretch in the middle of April. From April 14 to April 21, the right-handed slugger hit six HRs with 16 RBI. That power potential has surely been on display throughout his minor league career, which is why fantasy managers should be looking to stash him ahead of Week 8.
Martinez has totaled at least 28 home runs in three straight minor league seasons while also bringing in a combined 257 runs from 2021 to 2023. Toronto's No. 2 prospect continues to see the ball well at the plate and should find himself on the MLB roster in the coming weeks. He's worth a stash in 12-plus team leagues.
