ANALYSIS: Odubel Herrera got off to a rough start in 2017. Fresh off a breakout campaign in which he hit .286/.361/.420 with 15 home runs, 87 runs, and 25 stolen bases, the Phillies' center fielder stumbled to a .218/.262/.326 mark through the first two months of this season. He had just three home runs and four steals in seven attempts, and there were rumors that he could see a demotion to the minors if his struggles continued. Fortunately for Herrera and patient fantasy owners, that didn't happen, and the 25-year-old has looked much more like the franchise building block of the previous two seasons.
While he's still not providing much value on the bases - Herrera is just 5-for-10 on thefts - his production at the plate has more than made up for it. Over the last two months, Herrera has hit an impressive .339/.380/.578, with eight homers and 57 R+RBI. Six of those dingers have come since the All-Star break.
